UC Washington Center (UCDC)

The University of California extends its mission of service, teaching, and research to the nation's capital. UCDC is an academic program that allows students to continue their studies and gain valuable on-the-job experience. Open to all majors, Washington, DC hosts extraordinary internship opportunities in every field.

Students in the UCDC program will:

  • Live in DC - living in the UC Washington Center, students home, classroom, and community for the quarter.
  • Intern in DC - gaining first-hand experience and expanding their professional networks in a DC-based organization.
  • Study in DC - taking classes taught by DC-based faculty that supplement and complement students' learning in internships.

UCDC Subsidized Unpaid Interns Program (SUIP)

Starting in Fall 2023, SUIP will provide students $1000 if their internship is unpaid or will make up the difference if it pays less than $1000!
