Accesses information and opportunities for career exploration, and understands and articulates the importance of transferable skills in the job search process.

A select list of activities (with descriptions) in the CCR that are associated with the Career Development competency:
  • Student Success Coaching Program (Student Retention & Success)
    • Completed milestone activities from Student Success Coaching Program, which included goal setting, workshops, reflection assignments, self-assessments, leadership activities, faculty engagement, and more.
  • Mentor (Summer Bridge Program OASIS)
    • Participated in a comprehensive training, acted as a residential leader and peer mentor for incoming students through referring to resources and facilitating social and academic activities.
  • STARTneuro Scholar (School of Biological Sciences)
    • Conducted research in the neuroscience field while participating in a series of professional development activities focused on being an effective researcher, met one-on-one with a mentor to learn about graduate school, research, and careers, and presented research project at regional and national conferences.
  • Revelle College Emerging Leaders Program Cohort Member (Revelle College)
    • Developed leadership and professional skills through attendance of weekly interactive workshops, attendance of weekly small group meetings and collaborative execution of the Capstone Project, as well as engaged with the Revelle and UCSD communities through the attendance of student government body meetings and participation in community service projects.
  • Director of Project Management (Tech Club at UC San Diego)
    • Managed timeline for club events and activities, making changes as needed, and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders.
